I have a little teapot that brings me so much pleasure. It sits outside my living room window where I can see it from my reading chair.
Yes, I made a little water feature. It is very easy to do. I just dug a small hole in the ground, put in a plastic container, and dropped in a small fountain pump. Next , I had to go searching for an old bench on which to set the kettle. I found a suitable bench in the first antique store I stopped at. It must have been my day. The old teakettle is one I have used for years to plant flowers in so it already had holes rusted in the bottom. I ran a hose from the pump through the bottom of the kettle and out the spout. I used an old screen door over the top of the plastic container and covered it with small rocks. After I had all the parts it only took me about an hour to complete the fountain. Talk about instant gratification.
I have a little friend that sits at the base of the fountain and admires my flowers. Isn't he so cute.
In the evening I enjoy sitting on my blue bench and watching the small birds drinking from the fountain or taking a bird shower. I hope this will inspire you to make your own small water feature.
