Yeah! I finally have some ripe tomatoes. Not very big and not very many.
But enough to make tomato and mozzarella salad. I make a dressing of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and fresh thyme.
How do you like to eat the first tomatoes of the season?

Oh, this looks yummy! We love this salad too! My husband kept saying let's plant some tomatoes, but we never did and now it's too hot!! But we will put some plants in September as our winters are very mild. Thanks for popping in to see me and glad you liked my silly little egg dish! Be a sweetie, Shelia ;)
I am sooo jealous! Oddly, tomatoes don't do well in the summer in Florida. (I'm still trying to wrap my brain around that one.) They say the nights are too hot.
Your pictures are beautiful and the salad loooks scrumptious
Yum! Your tomatoes look divine. Your recipe sounds fabulous. Unfortunately, my most used recipe requirement on a homegrown tomato is the salt shaker:-)
I love to just slice 'em and eat 'em. I do it all summer long - sometimes on a grilled cheese; sometimes just by themselves. Your salad does look delicious, and if I'm having salad, I add some too. By the way, you are doing better than me. My 3 vines have produced one tiny tomato so far! laurie
G'morn Stella ~ You are making me hungry! Some little Fallon-deer visited us & ate every single huge tomato off the vines ... including lots of the vines, the little stinker. Good thing I love deer.

My jaw dropped when I saw the salad you made.... so yummo!! Nothing like fresh tomatos from the garden. Hubby planted some, but we are still waiting. Blessings~ Gwen:)
There is no food better than fresh home grown tomatoes! By themselves, in salads or on sandwiches, I can't get enough of them. We haven't had a garden for years though. I'm relying on my mom's now!
Thank you for the sweet card. I really appreciate it. Hugs, Dawn

I like the recipe you shared. I love tomatoes in everything! Especially home grown - the ones in the store are almost tasteless.
