Bob & I

I lost my baby brother early this morning to that ugly monster cancer.  He has put up a brave fight since he was diagnosed in late April.  He did his chemo, radiation, had most of his stomach and esophagus removed but that monster still invaded the liver and lungs.  I was twelve when he was born so he sometimes felt more like my child than my brother.  He would have been 59 in March I will miss he so much he was such a good, gentle man who loved his garden and cooking for his family.

This is a photo of him and me when I went home for my Mother's funeral.  Rest now dear brother.

Oh Stella, I am so very sorry that you have just lost your brother. A very sad time indeed for you. Such a short time, as he was only diagnosed in April. At least he is at peace now, but that doesn't stop the hurt that you must be feeling. Remembering you in my prayers at this time. Cancer seems such an evil disease, with so many people being touched by it. Take care.

Oh dear Stella - I am so sorry that you lost your brother. I know from personal experience how difficult it is. Cancer seems like an insidious monster that robs people of life. our brother you said fought with such dignity and grace. I love the picture of you too together. Well I will be thinking of you - I have put you on my prayer list - and sending hugs and cares to you. Love, sandie

Hi Stella, I am so sorry that you have lost your brother. I am sure this will be a difficult time for you. At least he has no more pain and is in a better place. May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.

I am so sorry for your loss (and sorry I didn't read this until now.)
But I know of course that the loss doesn't go away, even though life goes on. My brother, also a Bob, died of cancer over fifteen years ago -- I still miss him!
