December 7, 1941

Here is an update to this blog that I posted earlier. Ok, I was a baby and cried wolf to soon. I figured out a way to go around my problem and did upload a couple of pictures. So here they are.

My two daughter, four of my granddaughters and myself.

Most of the friends who came for brunch. A few just stopped in. This is such a busy time of year to work birthday parties into the schedule.
There may be a few of you who will read this today who will remember what happened on this day in 1941. You no longer see it on the front page of the paper and many won't remember this was the day theJapanese bombed Pearl Harbor. But in a little town in Montana something else took place on this day. I was born to Elma Ester Anderson and Alvin Russel Euell.

My daughters gave me a surprise birthday brunch yesterday. I was totally and completely overwhelmed when 17 of my friends and family took the time to come to brunch and shower me with gifts. I had some lovely pictures I wanted to share with you this morning. But, alas, I can't.

The reason I can't post pictures is a sore point with me this morning and I am trying not to let it intrude on my day. To hopefully make a long story short. I gave my husband a new laptop for his Christmas present (mostly so he would have one of his own). Two computers means you need a router or so everyone tells me. Well since we have had the router installed we have had a technician here twice, I have been with out Internet for two days and this morning I can't download my pictures.

So have a happy Monday everyone and I hope I can share my pictures with you soon.

Oh Stella - you are just beautiful - I am so glad to see a picture of you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Pearl Harbor Day - my parents got married on 11-22-1941 and in December my dad was called. They were apart for a couple of years.

Your daughters and granddaughters are lovely.

We had a router and had trouble - got a new one - all fixed - was yours new?

Don't give up - LOVE yor blog.

Great - that is probably the problem then - Rick thought ours was okay - the procrastinator he is (lol) took a year for him to figure it out!! No kidding.

Again - you have a beautiful family and friends.

Hi Stella -- glad you got the pictures to load. We have 2 computers too (in our tiny house); once you get it all figured out,you won't know how you did without them both, but I remember it takes a while to get it set up right. Computers -- can't live with them and can't live without them!

Thanks for visiting FT-L -- my last post was a re-run -- we have cold and clouds where we are now too (still in Oregon).

Stella, I haven't been doing much in the way of blogging lately but I am so very happy that I didn't miss this post.

Happy Birthday to you...one day late. What a lovely family you have and I can tell that they love you lots.

Yesterday was also my mother's 81st birthday. We took lunch to their house and had a little party. It was fun.

In this house, we never forget what happened on December 7, 1941.
