I have a swing hanging from a large tree in my backyard that has probably seen better days and should be replaced. But this is a special swing so I want to keep it. My baby daughter gave it to me the day we both graduated from college. I had been working full time and going to college. The last semester I took 18 hours so she and I could graduate together. My swing meant I could now spend some time just swinging.
It has been many colors in the last 20 years but most recently it has been pale yellow.
Now badly in need of a paint job I decided it would be nice if it could match all the yellow flowers in my yard.
So I went looking for a color that would match the lilies by the fountain.

Hey, I think it is bright and perky, especially with the colorful pillows. Very cute. The fountain with the yellow lilies is so sweet. I always adore yellow roses so your post is a delight for me to see today...

Stella, you made that yolk color look just about perfect by adding the rainbow of pillows.
The story behind the swing is sweeter than sweet. Don't EVER get rid of it.

Stella -- I like it, esp. with the pillows. But I LOVED your almost throw-away line about your (and your daughter's) college graduation. Wow, that was the coolest thing. You deserved to relax and it was lovely that your daughter recognized it.
PS: on your FT-L comment, we did the same thing with puddles -- great memories.
I love how the one pillow has feet in the pic. LOL
You have a beautiful garden. I love your yellow roses. The bench looks quite cheerful in that color and the pillows are a nice touch.
Yellow is my favorite color so I LOVE it!!! Pillows look great on it as well.
Love what the swing represents and what your daughter said! I have a swing and I love to swing!

ps thanks for visiting my blog. You commented on the table I was working on. That thing is probably as old as me. It belonged to Jamie's grandpa. It folds up, so it makes it the perfect work table.
Your swing looks amazing!! I love the colour!
