Just A Little Paint

The weather was really chilly in the morning the last time we went to the lake so I decided to spruce up my covered porch a little. I had some red and black spray paint. Some material I found while cruising a thrift store in a heavy red linen and red and green upholstery fabric.

I found three of these folding chairs at an antique mall in Bolivar. They were marked 3 for $25 but just as I was deciding if they would work a lady comes by and asked if I was interested in them. So I got all three for $15. They are pretty shabby maybe more than I like. Should I paint them?

Found an old bench that my SIL made me one year that had been sitting on the back porch. It was green, peeling, and bare and not so attractive anymore.

Painted the bench red and put red fabric on the folding chairs.

I had been saving a wrought iron corner stand that I found on the curb. I knew it would work somewhere someday.

Painted it black. Put green and red enamel bowls on it to use as candle holders.

My wicker was looking sad so I repainted it black
Decided my old cushions needed an update so I wrapped them in fabric and just pinned so I can wash when necessary or change at my whim.

Brought out my green table from the sunroom so I would have something to put my chairs around.

Leaned this picture on the table but don't know if I like it or not.

OK, time to go out in the boat I can fluff later.

Stella, I gotta tell you that I think the blog looks great. Now, on to the changes...vavavavoom! Fabulous! I would not paint the chairs. They seem to go with the style very well. The flowers painting...I love it. I think that you did a fabulous job with everything, honest. Congratulations.

Great job with a little paint! I am not so good at that stuff and paint is not my friend.

Another talented woman! Man I missed the boat somewhere.

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I agree - Christa lived a short life, but a full one.

And you are not going to believe this - I redid my blog tonight and added music. I added the same exact song as you and I hadn't even come to visit your blog yet.

Because We Believe - awesome song.

Thanks for visiting me and your sweet comments about my roosters. I love your porch furniture. sometimes all it takes is some sprucing up to make it feel "new" and fresh. It looks really great now.

Great post you got here. I'd like to read something more about that matter. The only thing it would also be great to see here is some photos of any gizmos.
