I Am Not Whining!

I'm really not whining but I was wondering. Does anyone else go grocery shopping and after they have carried all the bags in the house look at the huge pile on the counter and think I just don't like putting all this stuff away. Don't get me wrong I am thankful that I have transportation to go get the groceries, money to pay for them, and am fortunate enough to have a place to store them.
I gladly do other chores in the house and don't mind at all. But, somehow putting groceries away seems to be on my list of things I would rather not do.
Does anyone else feel like this or am I just a little more off beat than usual?

Stella I understand completely. I'm a thankful person as well, but with that said....putting groceries away is not on my list of favorite chores. I always joke with the baggers at the grocery store that I wish they would come home with me and put my groceries away as well! I hope you have a blessed New Year!

I love your red and yellow china!
I don't like dragging the bags in and putting away the groceries either.
I am always pooped after a day of shopping. At least it feels like the whole day. Then the last thing I want to do is cook!

I agree and I don't even have to do it very often. My wonderful boyfriend does the groceries and most of the cooking, I am so lucky!! I hope you have a very happy and blessed new year and I am glad to be back. (Read my story on my blog.) I love your cabinet and your red and yellow Fiestaware (?) It's so bright and cheery!

Stella -- first of all, I love your cheeerful kitchen. Second, I understand completely. Since I have begun to look like everybody's grandmother, the baggers always ask if I need help out to the car. I always say no thanks, not unless you want to come home with me and put them away. Nobody's taken me up on it yet.

Oooohhhh, I'm loving all those vibrant colors! I hate putting away groceries. That's one of my kid's chores! Same thing with unloading the dishwasher, another of my kid's chores!
Hugs,
Dawn

You know what it is? You have to make the money to get the food, make the list, get to the store, shop, pay, put them in the car, bring them in the house (and yours is beautiful by the way), and then when you are totally exhausted you have to put them up. Just when that is done - you realize you forgot something and the list starts all over again. It's a tiring job - that never gets completely done - like laundry.

I'm totally with you on this. I hate going to the grocery store anyway, and after lugging all those bags in from the car, the last thing I want to do is have to put them away.

I have put away the refrigerator/freezer things and left the rest out for as long as two days before:) Glad I'm not alone. Love your playlist by the way. Could stay here all day.

I know!!!
First we pick up what we want and put it in the cart, then we take it out of the cart and put it on the conveyor belt. If we are in a store where you have to pack your own groceries we pick them all up again and put them in bags and into the cart. Then we pick them all up and put them in the car. Then we get home and carry them into the house to put on the counter.
No wonder we don't want to touch them again. But we do. We put them all away and then we take them out again to cook dinner.
It may be easier to hunt and cook it over the open pit.

Thank you - I do love my grandson. I'd like to invite you to follow my blog (click follow on my blog) -as I do yours. I'm trying to get my followers list up to date. I'd appreciate it. I'm a little OCD - lol. Have a good day Stella. Still didn't see the beauty of the chair until you did.

I don't like it either! So I usually only shop for two days at a time. That way I don't have too much to put away and i don't forget about things in the back corners of my cupboards. :-)
