It Was A Great Week

You know how some weeks never seem to end. Then along will come a week that just seems to go well. I finally had a week that on Friday I thought what a great week this was. I didn't do any thing special or exciting. Just did the ordinary everyday things .

I belong to a Bible Study Group that meets every Wed. in some one's home. The hostess provides the main dish and everyone else brings the side dishes. This is a coed group and consists of married couples and single women who are divorced or widowed. At this time we have no single men in the group.

This Wed. we ended up with a small group that was all women. So we just had a girl's night in. We had some great conversation and lots of laughter. You know us ladies can discuss many things when the men aren't there.
I served chicken and dumplings, seafood chowder, and corn bread. Two of the ladies brought dessert and can you believe they both decided on ice cream.
I spent one evening playing with all the treasures from my previous post.
It was finally warm enough that I could take a walk. About 45 and most of the snow has melted. It has been so foggy all week I thought I was living in Seattle again. Fog is so unusual here in the Midwest in winter. I noticed this little tree on my walk. See all the little catkin buds that have sprouted. Can spring far behind.
I think this is a Magnolia tree I was photographing but maybe some of you who are more familiar with trees will know for sure.
See nothing special but so much fun. Hope you had a good week.

Those weeks when nothing really amazing happens often turn out to be the best don't they? Always fun to see people enjoying your beautiful home; thanks for sharing. glad it has warmed up a bit for you.

I agree with Sallie - sometimes unplanned things turn out better then planned things.

We have been overcast too!

Ohhhhhhhhh, you have the same Valentine theme Background as I do! I love it and you must too! I love her Backgrounds because [compared to lots of others] hers are quite simple.

So thank you for commenting in my 'Aunt Amelia's Attic' blog! Wondering if you might also like to take a peek in my new one, 'Gals With Grandmother Faces' too, since you say you are a Grandmother. If you have the time...

You took beautiful photos! And wow, are you in a different area than I am. Snow covered up North here, still. And will be, for a long time. :-)

Lucky you, you can get out and walk though!

I didn't give specific links to my blogs, because one can click on my name next to my Icon. And that will take you to my Profile Page, where you can click on the names of my blogs. :-)

What a delightful gathering you had on Wednesday! I do miss "gal time" and am praying a solution will come along so that my beloved "others" can have time away from me and vice versa.
By the way, I love your new header:-)

Oh dear Stella - I'm leaving you a comment from you leaving one on my blog - what you say is 100% true. You can change no one but yourself and it is the hardest lesson in the world to learn.
