Sweet Hearts

Since it is almost Valentine's Day I thought I would sprinkle a few hearts around to sweeten up the cold winter days.
Started with the mantle but should have taken the photo at night as I have some really cute lights that brighten it up nicely. I know the doily is crooked but I thought it might be more photographic that way but it just looks crooked. Oh Well!

Love this crocheted heart. It has a front and back and is stiffened with starch.

See how romantic the little lights make it at night. Perfect place to sit and have a glass of wine with my honey.
Vintage red heart with a small cupid tucked into the bow.

This vintage tin box is featured on my header but I like him so much I thought he should get double billing.

Small beaded hearts sit atop an antique sheet music holder.

Three sweet hearts nestle in a silver box.

An old cedar box holds sweetheart roses and a picture of my hubby's Mom and Dad. The picture on the books is my father in his uniform from World War II.
That's as sweet as it's going to get today. Thanks for dropping by to visit. I hope you have a sweetheart of a week.

Stella, you are a sentimental sweetheart and that's one reason I visit your blog

I especially like the old cedar box with the old pictures of family. Wouldn't they be pleased to see this post?

No Valentine decorations go up around here until February 1. Can't wait.

I love red - actually more than pink - so this was beautiful to me.

Loved your mirror - is that saying ON the mirror - that is one of my favorites.

And about your comment - I stopped and got a shrimp cup in the old downtown Las Vegas area too.

Love,
Sandie

Everything looks great!! I'm glad you took some pics of the mantel at night too, so we could see. Just adorable.
You asked about my Header. It is actually the top of a white curio-type cabinet which is in my livingroom. I love to decorate the top of it for each new season.
Take care,
M.L.

Thanks for leaving me the comment and telling me about your beautiful mirror. So you originally bought the 'saying' - were going to put it on your walls - could not - and then put it on your mirror...?

You're right - this second plan was awesome!
