Chummy Clematis

I start most of my perennials from inexpensive little pots and wait patiently ( well sometimes not so patiently) for them to grow up.

My clematis have bloomed for the last three years but this year they are glorious. All the colors are twined together and are putting on a grand show.

The white clematis blooms about two weeks earlier than the purple and pink but she is still going strong.

Love how all three colors are mingling here.

The photo doesn't do the royal purple color of this flower justice.

This is new one I planted last year. I has a much smaller flower and it is shaped similar to a dahlia. The center is a very deep maroon and the color contrast makes a very striking color combo.

I once read somewhere that you have to have patience for perennials. It is said the first year they sleep, the second year they creep and the third year they leap. These were well worth waiting for.

Those clematis are just beautiful! Love your flowers.

Thanks for stopping by and of course you can join the Ruffle Butt Club. :) We take only the finest ruffles around but don't worry, no checking your status, he he.

They are just so pretty. I like how you combine more than one vine to twine up together. Very pretty and a great idea.Wow, does that mean we can get more clematis vines LOL!

Oh aren't they just delightful Stella ... such pretty colours and they do look wonderful together.
Love that saying ... hadn't heard it before. I'm not really good in the garden, that's hubby's area of expertise.

Warmest Hugs,

Those certainly are beautiful! Is it a vine plant? I would love to have more color on the side of my landscaping- something I can plant and weed around, but not really spend a whole lot of time on.. I wonder if these would make a good fit? Do they do well in full sun?
