Peony Anyone?

The sun is finally shining. It has been in the high 80's for the last three days. While it's so nice would you like to go out to the garden and smell the Peonies?

The white one is so pristine against the dark green foliage.

Isn't this bright pink stunning with the yellow and pink stamen? The flowers are so large you need two hands to hold it.

The pink with white tipped petals is stunning.

The light pink with a lighter pink center looks like a butterfly floating on the breeze.

Many of the peonies didn't survive all the wind and rain we had the last week. But all of them smell so yummy when I bring in a bouquet.
Hope you enjoyed the
walk through the garden.

Your peonies are stunning! I'm sad to say, I don't have any YET! I've always loved them. Thanks for sharing your beauties and have a wonderful week.

I don't think we have peonies in CA but I could be wrong. I remember them in Chicago. They are so pretty. Great pictures.

Hi Stella! You know, you put me to shame because I live in South Florida and my garden is nowhere near as beautiful as yours. By the way, my favorite of all your peonies is the light pink. It looks so pretty and delicate.

Every one beautiful. The pink-tinged one is my favorite. We grew peonies when we lived in Oregon, where they did real well. Except the tiny sugar ants liked them too, so I remember having to be careful when bringing them in.

What a beautiful assortment of peonies, the white are so gorgeous. Mine are just putting up shoots, I hope to get some nice blooms (assuming I got the planting depth right!) :)

Oh Stella...I want a white peony like yours!! It is magnificent as are all your other flowers, too.

I hope you try the preserving method I posted about. Mine are standing in 2" of water in the garage fridge. So far, so good. They're alive & well & NOT opening. :-)

Your peonies are stunning. I wish they bloomed longer than they do.
